Here's Molly and Lu pointing quail this morning.
Two weeks ago Jim Shifflet, Kit Foster and I built a new johnny house and put it in a nearby meadow. I bought a feeder and watering system from Quality Wildlife and last weekend brought up quail. I left them alone all week and released some yesterday afternoon. This morning they were all back.
Even though the training season on wild birds opened July 15th, it's hot & humid and the cover is THICK. Early morning sessions on quail will have to suffice until it cools some.
