What a Bummer!

A week ago Sunday, Molly had one of the best grouse finds I've seen in a long time. It was a covey of 6 or 7 birds that lifted in pairs. I shot the blank gun 3 times as they lifted and Molly stayed steady and up on her tip toes to watch them fly. I was so excited. Later that evening she was limping and holding her right rear leg up. I suspected a thorn in her pad or perhaps a muscle strain. By Wednesday it hadn't improved so I took her to the vet and my worst fears were confirmed...........torn ACL. Molly will have a TPLO procedure next Monday at Michigan State University Veterinary Clinic. She'll be out at least 12 weeks or the whole grouse season! What a bummer............

Rats! Sorry to hear about Molly's injury... I guess the good news is that you're relatively close to a very good veterinary hospital.

We'll send some 'get well soon' prayers your way.

Hi Dale!

That's a bummer! I hope the surgery goes well!

Dale,
I hope that Molly did well with her surgery and is now home recooperating, dreaming of quail days to come. We have been thinking of you this week.
