GO WITH A BUDDY!
Take my word for it.........if you trip over a submerged rock in the South Branch of the AuSable you'd better have a fishing buddy with you and your cell phone in a plastic bag!

Glad you made it out alive, Dale! The people that really matter will find you anyways... dropping the cell in the river is a blessing in disguise (and I almost believe myself!).
