FIELD TRIALS OVER--TIME TO FISH

I have just returned from the Flanagan farm and Grouse Ridge Kennels in Norwich,New York where I judged the Empire Championship and Empire Derby Classic. It was a wonderful week and truly a pleasure to be with my old friends and the trials hosts' Peter & Katie Flanagan. Forty four of the nations top walking shooting dogs competed for the Empire title and closed out the 2010 spring field trial season. Now its time to turn to fishing at LoBank. The hendricksons and bwo's are hatching and soon our famous brown drake hatch will begin. Yes its time to put away the chaps and pull on the waders.

Rough life, Dale!

Hope the fishing is as good as it can be.

That's a pretty cool picture of the trout. Did you take that?

Wish I had but didn't. It was taken by a friend and as he tells the story the fish simply beached itself, exhausted after 7 spectatular leaps from the water

Dale,

I enjoyed your article on Stideaway, regarding the Flying Dutchman and Bob Wehle. Good job. You need to record all of those stories so that you can pass them on to posterity.
